Murali Vijay was the first batsman picked up by Hazlewood in the 7th over of the Indian innings. After the departure of Murali Vijay Pujara came to bat at one down position. Pujara faced 23 balls but could not be able to get settled at the crease. Pujara was picked up by Starc who claimed his first wicket in the 15th over of the innings. Virat Kohli, the skipper of team India returned without scoring a run and he was picked up Starc in the same over. Starc provided Australia with breakthrough at the perfect time. After the departure of Virat Kohli from the crease none of the batsmen from the batting lineup of India could be able to stay to the wicket, and entire Indian batting lineup collapsed and proved to be a fragile batting lineup against Australian bowling attack.
